It is the policy of McMahon Ltd. that in conducting its activities every
effort will be made to protect the health and safety of its employees at
work and of other persons who may be affected directly or indirectly by
its activities. The Company recognises the responsibilities placed on it
by Safety Legislation and accepts that the health and safety of its
employees and those affected by their work will be given priority.
McMahon Ltd. will not only comply with the requirements of the relevant
legislation but will also promote, in an appropriate manner, further
measures for protection of its employees. The Company will take all
reasonable steps to ensure that safe systems of work are devised and
implemented by all personnel and sub-contractors under their control.
Also that all works, structures, plant, and equipment are designed,
constructed, maintained and managed in the safest way possible. The
Company will carry out and process safety surveys and will review them
annually to ensure that process additions or changes have not created
unusual or unanticipated hazards. The Company, in order to meet this
safety policy, will provide sufficient resources of time, personnel and
finance. It is also the policy of this Company to provide sufficient
information, training and supervision to its workforce in pursuance of
the Safety Statement and to do every reasonable thing to ensure
sub-contractors provide similar arrangements. The Company requires that
contractors working on its behalf apply Safety and Environmental
standards fully consistent with our own and achieve comparable levels of
performance. All employees will be made aware of this policy and of
their duties in relation to it. In following this policy the Company
recognises the vital importance of the ongoing commitment of all
employees, whether managers, supervisors, foremen or other staff, to the
highest standards of health and safety and environmental performance,
and will ensure that they have the required skills and support to
achieve this. The policy will be kept up-to-date: particularly in the
light of organisational changes or advised action by the Oireachtas. Our
legal and moral responsibilities for our own safety and the safety of
others dictate that everyone must know and comply with the regulations
and safety requirements pertaining to their work and full co-operation
is required from all. |
